Returns & Refunds Policy

At The Indo Western Closet, we pride ourselves on providing premium-quality garments. As a boutique fashion business, our policies are designed to maintain fairness, clarity, and transparency while ensuring compliance with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) of South Africa.


1. No Returns or Refunds

  • All sales are final. We do not offer returns, refunds, or exchanges for incorrect sizing, change of mind, or personal preference.

  • We encourage customers to review our size guides carefully before placing an order. Our team is available to assist with sizing advice prior to purchase.


2. Defective or Damaged Items

  • In line with the Consumer Protection Act, if an item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, you must notify us within 7 calendar days of delivery.

  • To initiate a claim, please email info@theindowesterncloset.co.za with your order number, proof of purchase, and photographs of the item in question.

  • If approved, you may be offered:

    • A repair or replacement (subject to availability), or

    • A refund if the item cannot be reasonably repaired or replaced.


3. Shipping & Pre-Orders

  • In-stock items: Dispatched via Fastway courier within 1–3 working days after purchase.

  • Pre-order items: Sourced directly from India. Delivery typically takes 10–20 days after shipment from India, excluding possible customs delays beyond our control.

  • Once items are dispatched, responsibility for delays rests with the courier or customs authorities.


4. Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene and safety reasons, certain items (e.g., accessories, intimate wear, or custom-tailored garments) cannot be returned under any circumstances.


5. Lay-By Policy

We do not offer lay-by or instalment payment options. All orders must be paid in full at checkout.


6. Customer Responsibility

  • Ensure that delivery information provided at checkout is correct. We are not liable for delays or losses caused by incorrect shipping details.

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to collect and sign for deliveries.
